Duration: 3–4 days

Vibe: Music, seafood, and heart-warming encounters where every table feels like home.

Step into the rhythm of the French Shore, where laughter rises from the wharves, fiddles echo over the tides, and kitchen doors are always open. Beginning in Yarmouth, this circuit carries you through Clare and Argyle, two communities where Acadian heritage is not just preserved — it’s lived.

Day 1 – Yarmouth to Clare (Saulnierville & Belliveau Cove)

Depart from Yarmouth and follow the Evangeline Trail north to Saulnierville, the heart of Clare’s Acadian culture. Begin your evening at La Cuisine Robicheau, where the Musique de la Baie Kitchen Party fills the dining room with fiddles, laughter, and the irresistible rhythm of Acadian music. Enjoy local delicacies — haddock, lobster, or meat pie — while the musicians share stories of the sea and home.Spend the night in a cozy seaside inn where salt air and song linger well past sunset.

🍽 Tip: Try the haddock with creamed lobster and finish with a slice of homemade blueberry grunt.

Stay the night nearby in a charming seaside inn — locals are always ready to share a story or a tune.

Day 2 – Belliveau Cove: Wharves, Markets & Beaux Vendredis

Spend your morning wandering the Belliveau Cove Farmers’ Market, where artisans sell jam, hooked rugs, and carved buoys that tell of the sea. When the sun lowers, the docks fill with music for the Beaux Vendredis seafood supper — tables of lobster, crab, and mussels served on the wharf as fiddles play and waves shimmer behind the stage lights. It’s Acadian joie-de-vivre at its finest: open, welcoming, unforgettable.

Day 3 – Argyle & the Argyler Lodge Experience

Drive along the coast to Lower Argyle, home of the Argyler Lodge, where culinary art meets community storytelling. Here, you’ll take part in an Acadian Kitchen Party Experience — a chef-led dinner inspired by 400 years of local flavours, followed by music, laughter, and maybe a bit of step dancing under the stars.

🦞 Refined moment: Sip Nova Scotia bubbly on the veranda while a fiddler serenades the setting sun over Lobster Bay.

Optional Day 4 – Pubnico’s Living History

End your trip at Le Village Historique Acadien de Pubnico. Step back in time among 1900s homesteads, chat with costumed interpreters, and see how music, family, and hard work shaped this vibrant culture.

Why you’ll love it: This circuit captures the soul of Acadia — where music meets the ocean, and travellers become part of the family. Whether you join a kitchen party, share stories with locals, or taste a dish passed down through generations, you’ll leave with more than memories — you’ll leave with a song in your heart.
