Spare time to also visit the inspiring LeNoir Forge Museum and Boat Barn, the oldest stone building in Cape Breton dedicated to Isle Madame’s once flourishing shipbuilding and repair industry.

 

Exploring the local Acadian culture, testing your nautical knowledge as you uncover artefacts from a long-lost time and conversing with passionate interpreters are just some of the fabulous highlights you can look forward to.

But the festivities don’t stop there, on the first weekend of August, the Festival Harbourfest in D’Escousse invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy a lively atmosphere filled with music, food, and family-friendly entertainment.

 

Come October, immerse yourself in the internationally renowned Celtic Colours festival, with captivating performances hosted at varying locations each year, including regular stops at La Picasse and D’Escousse.
